The founding fathers might be resting a bit more peacefully this morning as the federal system is beginning to put some checks and balances in place.
The economic outlook commented on by numerous analysts over the last two weeks have made grim reading for the US.

If there is a kickback from the administration then could it trigger a constitutional crisis?

Posting here again because I noticed political discussion is again being warned on the Pinkun. It isn't the discussion that's the problem as long as people can be tolerant to each other and not be insulting, whatever the views.
Maybe this place is like posting into a void of sorts!

Keeping this place ticking over as a haven is not a bad thing.

Yes, maybe. This article I read recently (Plato reference no less) is informative and shows how people should debate. Many Pinkun posters just seem to engage in name calling and the straw man.- gets wearing and never is there an opportunity for any side of an argument to develop. Point it out and you'd get called condescending or a Guardian reader!
