One or two more?

Big Grin
In today's presser, Thorup discussed his hope for one or two more signings this window to build on his project? It didn't sound like they would be immediately thrown into the first team, but were players who would be part of next season's squad. All well and good, but has anyone inside knowledge or thoughts on this (I assume our PUF resident insider hasn't found it to here yet?   Rolleyes One assumes two from 4 - GK / CB / CM / CF?

Can't see us signing a keeper now as they likely wouldn't get any game time this season.

I'd like to see another central midfielder come in as we seem very light in the position. I also wonder if we might see a left back? Doyle is only here until May and seems to be better in central defence which just leaves Chrisane who I'm not convinced by at all.

Yes, you would expect in the 11 GK's on our books at present at least one can cover should Gunn get injured.

On LB, I think Mahovo will be number 1 choice next season (unless we are in the EPL).

I would dearly love a new CM in, but it sounds like they will be bought for the future, so Kenny's place is safe for a bit longer! Wink

Could be one of those where we sign a player (a keeper for example), and then loan them back to the club we signed them from until the summer.
"Norwich have equalised! How awful! Aaoow naaaoow! When are Ipswich Town ever gonna beat them? It's Klose! Gunn has run the length of the field... oh this is heartbreaking, there are fans on the pitch, Ipswich Town can't believe it! Bialkowski is crestfallen, look at Mick McCarthy's face on the monitor."

Latest from Paddy Davitt - Pinkun

Latest state of play. Emmanuel Fernandez bid confirmed from #Posh end is from #NCFC. No agreement on personal terms.

#BHAFC Ruairi McConville remains an alternative. Permanent not loan.

#NCFC could even do both if the planets align

Really pleased with the McConville signing. It shows the Knapper / Thorup /Riddersholm long term planning and we are building nicely.

Quite well rated in the Brighton camp. I think they signed a new CB so could have stunted his chances to the first team. Either way the deal was reportedly £2.5 mill with add ons. Very good business if so.
